I was just thinking many outer planets have gaseous atmosphere, so isnt it impossible to land on them?

I mean if any spaceship went and tried to l and or like lift off wouldnt there engines and all the fires like ignite something in the atmosphere? i dunno i was just thinking. what do you guys think?
