Would a sugar glider live as a pet in oregon?

i'm thinking of getting a sugar glider for my next pet, but i live in oregon and i don't know if they can survive the weather? like around 80 degrees in the summer and 50 degrees in the winter, the house has really good a c, but i don't want to get a pet so it can suffer in a place where it can't live, and please don't send me any links, i wish to have your personal opinion, 1 more thing, yes i did my research on the gliders of sugar, lol, and do i need to have a cage for em or just let em around the house? thank you very much for the info
