Outfitting my 2006 Ford F150 Lariat a waste?

Do you plan on keeping it for a long time? Most modifications do not add to the value of the vehicle. Instead the price of the items removed are deducted from the trade in value. Example- I put a fibreglas hood on my Cuda. When it was totalled the insurance company deducted the cost of the steel hood from the resale value. Same with the wheels- deducted the cost of the factory steels and ignored the cost of the mags.
