Why does Yahoo censor the word God (G O D) in comments to articles?

I posted a comment to a story about a Marine over the Memorial Day weekend and the word "God" came out as something like !@#$! All I had said was "God bless our troops" Then I saw other people testing the posting of comments and I just couldn't believe what was being permitted to show up and what wasn't. Please explain the censorship policy to us.
