Does double jeopardy mean you can do the same crime and not go to jail?
For example: Say a man breaks into a woman's house and s her and he goes to jail, then later on he is released could that same man that same woman and not go back to jail? The reason I am asking this is not because I am going to try it, it is because I saw a movie call Double Jeopardy were a woman is framed for the murder of her husband, but he is no dead. The wife tells her husband that she could kill and there would be no consequences due to the legal doctrine of double jeopardy. Is that truth. The reason why I used as a example is because I want to use a very bad crime were the victim could live.
